Mullet Season Could be Quarantine’s Silver Lining

Nothing feels better than the graceful wave of long hair in the wind, peacefully flipping back and forth against your neck like a free-spirited bird.

Thanks to COVID quarantine and the closure of barbershops, we’re all a little bit closer to exercising our long-haired freedom.

Any guy who’s abandoned the drab status quo of short hair likely knows about the awkward transition phases involved in growing something significant.

Those odd weeks vary from man to man, but considering we’ve been on lockdown for almost seven weeks I’d bet my bottom dollar that many are long past that stage.

Now comes the freedom of a little lettuce in the back, a sort of business-in-the-front, party-in-the-back style that tells everyone you’re just getting underway in the quest for a flowing mane.

Leave it be throughout the summer and you won’t regret it.

Sure you’ll sweat a bit more, but the long-run benefits of growing a mullet make it well worth the lost H2O

Rocking a mullet instantly pulls together any look you’re trying to accomplish.

Got a hot date? Rub in some hair gel and go for it.

Just scored an interview? Slick it back and go win that job.

Going to the store but too lazy to style your hair? Put on a ballcap and walk out the door.

A good mullet can even hide that annoying malfunction when your tie pokes out at the bottom of your collar. Flip your hair over it and no one will know it’s there.

With a well-groomed mullet, you don’t even need to worry about how straight your neckline is. No one’s going to see it.

So while quarantine has been one of the worst events in our nation’s recent history, try to find the silver lining.

Instead of giving yourself a hack job because you can’t see your barber, fly a bit of flow in the back.

The mullet could be the look of the summer thanks to quarantine.
